Our Windermere Row will be returning to Ambleside on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June for the final time.
If you have already registered to take part, we will automatically transfer you to these new dates. If you have are unable to attend, please contact Katie on firstname.lastname@example.org
Join us for our final year in the Lake District for our longest-running event, the Windermere Row - one of the toughest but most enjoyable St Gemma's Hospice challenges! Choose to take on either a 10-mile or 21-mile row, in a 4 or 6-person rowing boat, on Lake Windermere. Since 1998, the event has raised over £1.13 million; be part of the 2022 row and help make our final Row the best one yet.
Teams of varying sizes (and abilities!) take to the Lake, come rain or shine, and race their way passed the checkpoints to victory. Surrounded by the most beautiful Lake District scenery, and with fancy dress and playful camaraderie strongly encouraged, this event has been attracting veteran captains and novice first mates for over 35 years.
This year, the 10-mile row will take place predominantly on Saturday 25th and the 21-mile row will take place on Sunday 26th.
Registration is £10 per team member in order to secure the boat once booking opens, and all team members will be required to raise a minimum of £90 sponsorship, to be paid in within 2 months after the event.
Boat sizes are up to 4 people and up to 6 people, but availability is limited so they are reserved on a first come, first served basis. We recommend no less than 3 people in a 4 person boat and no less than 5 people in a 6 person boat.
Team members 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 who is their parent or guardian.
To register your team, click 'Book Now' and complete the form. Payment can be made over the phone by card by calling Katie on 0113 218 5505 or via bank transfer. Please contact email@example.com for the necessary bank details.
We appreciate that these are uncertain times but we are still very much planning for the Windermere Row to go ahead, however, if the Windermere Row is unable to go ahead, due to the Covid-19 situation, we will provide a full refund.
We will continue to monitor government guidance on events and mass gatherings and will keep everyone registered to participate in the Windermere Row updated on our plans.
