About Northern Lights Trek 2025

Would you like to tick something off your bucket list and spend 3 days trekking through beautiful mountain scenery, geothermal valleys and via picture-perfect lakes. The trek will be challenging; hiking across snow-covered landscapes and conquering local mountain passes. However, the chance of witnessing the dancing lights of the Aurora Borealis will hopefully make your efforts all worthwhile. You will then celebrate your achievements in the bright lights of Reykjavík! The land of fire and ice on this memorable long weekend adventure!

This trek takes place in Iceland.

Cost and Minimum Sponsorship

There are different funding options for taking part in the Northern Lights Trek. The registration fee is £199 for each option and payable at the time of booking:

Sponsorship: Raise a minimum of £3,660 to cover trip costs and raise sponsorship for St Gemma’s Hospice
Self-funded: Pay £1,830 and raise a target sponsorship of £1830 to match!

This Open Challenge trip is delivered by Global Adventures.

By taking on this challenge, you’ll be helping St Gemma’s Hospice to be there for local people living with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones by raising sponsorship. Sometimes fundraising can seem daunting, but there are so many different things you can try to reach your target. When you sign up, you’ll be offered a fundraising pack and the St Gemma’s Fundraising team will also be here to support you in the run up to your challenge.
