About Kilimanjaro 2025

Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest mountain standing tall at 5,895m, a magnet for trekkers and climbers. The trek takes you along the beautiful Machame route, which allows you to gradually acclimatise to the altitude as you climb to the summit. You will trek through dense tropical rainforest all the way up to the snow-capped peak to witness awe-inspiring views. This is a tough but spectacularly rewarding challenge, so why not make 2025 the year that you conquer the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro all while support St Gemma's Hospice!

This trek takes place in Africa.

Cost and Minimum Sponsorship

There are different funding options for taking part in the Kilimanjaro Trek. The registration fee is £299 for each option and payable at the time of booking:

Sponsorship: Raise a minimum of £5,700 to cover trip costs and raise sponsorship for St Gemma’s Hospice
Self-funded: Pay £2,850 and raise a target sponsorship of £2850 to match.

This Open Challenge trip is delivered by Global Adventures.

By taking on this challenge, you’ll be helping St Gemma’s Hospice to be there for local people living with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones by raising sponsorship. Sometimes fundraising can seem daunting, but there are so many different things you can try to reach your target. When you sign up, you’ll be offered a fundraising pack and the St Gemma’s Fundraising team will also be here to support you in the run up to your challenge.
