About Firewalk!

Due to the rate of Covid-19 infections rising in Leeds and speculation over further lockdown measures within Leeds and possibly nationally, we've made the difficult decision to postpone the firewalk which was planned to take place on the 31st October. We are planning for the event to now go ahead on Saturday 30th January 2021.

We appreciate that this will come as a disappointment as indeed it does to us. A lot of hard work has been put into planning the event and it has not been an easy decision to make. However, in these ever-changing and uncertain times we have a responsibility to keep everyone safe so we believe that at this time it is the right decision.

Calling all brave soles to conquer the coals! Step outside your comfort zone and walk on burning hot embers at St Barnabas’ Church and Community Centre, Alwoodley to support St Gemma’s Hospice. Become a hospice hero and take part in this life changing experience. This is the ultimate test of courage and the ideal challenge no matter your fitness level.

You will first participate in a full training seminar delivered by the one of the fire walking experts from Blaze. You will then face the flames and achieve the impossible for St Gemma’s in front of all your friends and family.

We currently have a special offering running where if you sign up to take part in the Firewalk you get another place completely free, so two of you can take part for just £15. In order to get this special deal please click the 'Book Now' button and select the 'Special Buy One Get One Free' offer on the next page and add two people. This event will expire on the 1/11/2020
To take part in this event you must be over the age of 14 however permission is needed by a guardian to take part if you are under the age of 18.  Although there is no minimum sponsorship requirement for his event we do ask that all participants try to raise £100 to support St Gemma’s Hospice. Every penny you raise in sponsorship will enable St Gemma’s Hospice to continue providing essential care and support to people when they most need it.
The safety of our supporters, volunteers and staff is paramount. Therefore, we are introducing a range of measures to ensure we comply with government, local, and Public Health England guidance.
